I bumped into this a few days ago.It is pretty cool website that tracks the history of dive watches (up to 2008). It was interesting to me to see the evolution of this watch type and how different technologies have effected designs over the years!

It begins when Rolex introduced the first waterproof watch casing in 1927

It ends with the Rolex Deep Sea Sea Dweller in 2008.

This is a link to a translated version of the site --->>> http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Flesmala.net%2Fplongee%2Fhistoiremontre.htm&sl=auto&tl=en

If this didn't work, try the original ---->>> http://lesmala.net/plongee/histoiremontre.htm

There are a TON of amazing dive watches at that site Mark ! A Pictoral History of Dive Watches Icon_eek
It's nice to see all of the contributions thoughout watch history
by all of these brands. Each one of them seemed to play an
important part. There was even a Zodiac Sea Wolf mentioned ! A Pictoral History of Dive Watches Icon_cheers
What's most impressive is that most of these watches not only
look ahead of their times, but actually were, with all of their
different features. Honestly, think each and every one of these
watches are EXTRA special !..Thanks for this link sir, I appreciate
it !..By the way, had never seen that 1974 Omega prototype
Seamaster Quartz Megaquartz 1000 before !..Wow !!!
