Picked up a Seiko Milemarker Empty
PostSubject: Picked up a Seiko Milemarker   Picked up a Seiko Milemarker Icon_minitimeSat Jul 17, 2010 6:45 pm

Not sure why I like this watch but I do....got it for under $100 new......Perp Cal, GMT, Map Mile function, great lume, 10 year battery, solid bracelet and end links, 200 Meter WR. The Milemarker has a wheel that hides under the big crown that is used to trace a route on the map and tell the number of miles. Here's a link to the Seiko PDF on how the Milemarker and compass work http://www.seikowatches.com/support/ib/pdf/SEIKO_MAPMETER_E.pdf .

Thanks for the compliments!! Another interesting note....This watch has the same 8F56 super accurate quartz GMT movement as the Alpinist Perpetual, accurate to less than 20 seconds per year.

Very Cool Gary! I have seen these in the past. Have you tried the map distance function yet?

Looking forward to your impressions! Where on the dial do you read the mileage?

Hey Gary ! This watch is literally off the charts, or..map
in this case !!! Picked up a Seiko Milemarker Icon_cheers It has the James Bond cool factor
with the milemarker theme, along with a bold, aggressive
look. The case seems to be very wide, as well as tall. It's
pretty TERRIFIC if you ask me ! Seems to fit that bezel
perfectly, and by the way, this bezel is not your ordinary
bezel. It's BIG, has the N, W, S, and E on it, and continues
the MEAN theme !!! The two crowns are really interesting,
and I guess the larger one is actually the milemarker. It's
VERY unique !..Also like the dial on your new Seiko ! The
multiple hands add even more character to the watch,
while the markers inject some extra sport in for good
measure. Even the bracelet fits the overall feel of the
watch. It's just wide enough to compliment the case.
It's not too big, and it's not too small, it fits just right !
Have to say..IT also looks GOOD ! Picked up a Seiko Milemarker 803574 ..Can't say enough
good things about this one Gary !..What a NICE watch !!!
Congratulations to you, and I hope you ENJOY !..Thanks
for the exceptional pictures also !

Yup, I like it. Would prefer a strap but you were good to get the bracelet for more versatility.

Good show!
