A quartz movement, the Bulova Precisionist is a slight deviation from our normal mechanical timepieces. However, what the Precisionist may lack by being battery powered it makes up for in innovation. Unveiled at BaselWorld this year, it is the most precise timepiece ever made. Your typical quartz watch is accurate to plus or minus 15 seconds a month, the Precisionist movement is accurate to plus or minus 10 seconds a year. By adding a third prong to the typically two-pronged quartz crystal, Bulova created a torsional resonator. The result: a watch with eight times the vibration frequency of traditional quartz watches. The Precisionist movement will be available in the Fall with a suggested retail range from $299 to just under $1,000.
Along with working on the Precisionist, Bulova is celebrating Accutron’s 50th anniversary by releasing a limited-edition replica of the original alpha case of the Accutron Spaceview 214. The limited-edition will include a replica of the tuning fork movement and exhibition dial, both in stainless steel.
Each Spaceview model will come in a display case and an official plaque providing its number among the limited edition.
For a current Bulova Accutron, most retail anywhere from $350 to $1,200, we’ve found it for $199 with the original warranty on Opus Watch for only $199.

Learned about these smooth sweeping quartz watches from you guys ! ..They are INCREDIBLE !..ESPECIALLY when you look at the design on these cases, and dials. Add in a GREAT price and all you can do is.. !..The black IP version IS AWESOME Mark !..They're ALL really nice though, and you have to hand it to Bulova. They did a great job all the way around. Those bracelets, and straps are almost as unique as the dials, cases, and movements !..Thanks for this video, and info here !
