| So, here is the short and sweet version of this saga: About 6 months agao, I had posted asking for your opinions on a couple of different styles of watches that I was looking at. Many great suggestions and many watches were offered up....so, I began my researching. This acquisition was always referred to as Watch #3 and that is because In this year 2010, I had purchased 2 ML's and this was my 3rd order.......It happened to take 5 months and 1 week from the time I ordered to the time I received it. During this time, watches #4,5,6, and 7 arrived. I sold #6 because it wasn't what I expected. So, back to watch #3. I absolutely fell in love with the bauhaus design and philosophy. Such a simple, understated yet art deco-contemporary look. It was so retro look alike to the earlier designs which made it even more attractive to me. I actually saw many more choices of the bauhaus design than I thought were out there. I finally chose what I felt was the best for me. The looks, the manufacturing, the movement, the cost and the History. BTW, My prior arrival, an ML, was my smallest case size at 40mm............No longer as this one is my smallest now at 39mm. It is shocking to see but it plays like a 42mm. Sorry it took so long for me to get this post up and running so, without further delay: The Stowa Antea Creme. 39mm, eta 2824-2.

| Pure elegance John!! A bit small but that thin bezel makes it look larger, classy Deco inspired, I love it! |

| Thanks Trevor! One subtle design element that I like is the lug design...they are thin in width and have a nice down angle to them. | |

| Thank you Chris! I really does play so much bigger on the wrist than 39mm. I keep measuring it because it's hard to believe! | |

| meh... Not really, John. Very nice design. IMHO, that design wouldn't look correct at much more than 39/40mm. With the thinner bezel and lugs, and fine lines of the hands and numerals, anything larger, that watch would look comically large for a three hand. Very nice, and it will dress up well. Like Trevor said, your collection is hitting on all cylinders, for sure. |

| Very nice John!! Creme colored dials are so nice IMHO....Adds an extra touch of class (even though it doesn't need it) Enjoy.... ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... Member NAWCC, National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors | |

| Whoa John, #3 LOOKS like it was WELL worth the wait ! Seems like it GENUINELY is perfect, and classic like everyone is saying ! What's neat is how when you see the case from the side, it looks pretty thick. Then when it's on your wrist it almost seems to sit flush. That looks TOO GOOD !..Then the color of the dial, along with those hands fit in flawlessy too. One of the coolest characteristics is how the numbers get rotated toward you on the bottom half of the dial. That is just THE best !!!..This is one of those pure timepieces imho, where nothing is wasted in the look, or feel of the watch. Stowa even seems to have made the crystal on the case-back a little bigger so you can enjoy how beautiful the movement actually is. It's ALL very very impressive ! That strap, as well as the other straps, AND mesh are phenomenal as well. I don't think you could ask for more from a watch, or a watch company. The perfect simple design, the looks, the comfort, the care that was put into everything seems to be pretty AMAZING ! Just look at the box it all comes in too !..Yowza ! ..I'm happy you finally got #3 John !..It's ONE SPECTACULAR Stowa !!! Congrats, and as always..Enjoy ! Awesome pictures here once again also ! ____________________________________ | |
