| Crepas is a new watch company from Spain which is beginning to produce watches which are inspired by dive watches of the past, while at the same time using today's technologies. Their first dive watch is called the Le Grand, which is said to be an evolution of the Omega Seamaster 1000m, also known as "The Grand". The case on the watch will be made of stainless steel, polished, and brushed and measure 43mm x 17.20mm. Water resistance will be 1200m. There will also be a 120 click unidirectional divers bezel with sapphire crystal insert. Retro C3 SuperLuminova will be on the dial, and hands. While the ETA 2824-2 movement will be inside the watch. A rubber strap, along with 22mm mesh bracelet with divers extension, and double locking clasp will also come with the watch. Pre-order price $849..regular price $1249. This information along with pictures came from.. http://oceanictime.blogspot.com/2010/08/crepas-le-grand-1200m-intro.html Here is the Crepas website.. http://www.crepaswatches.com/ Enjoy ! ____________________________________ | |

| I guess that watch companies have run out of ideas for designs and everyone is "homaging" old hits. I don't like it one bit and i think the the dessert oriented name is weird Crepas=Crepes. Ohh, and it's almost worth a grand |

| everyone wants to put a watch together! Kind of cool but might be a little late with the plongeur hands! I'm all for micro brands but when i do buy it will be from someone who has made it a few years in the marketplace!! Maybe used in the 500 dollar range but not willing to take a chance...... but it could be the next Dreadnought? |

| Thanks for your opinions guys ! ..Just found that this was a new company that was launching, and wanted to pass the latest watch info along to everyone ! ..I agree with you guys on the whole same look, same ideas thing by the way. One interesting aspect about these watches might be that it looks like a classic Omega though ! ____________________________________ | |

| Its a nice looking watch. An evolution (homage) of the Omega Seamaster 1000 from the mid 70's, thats why its got the plongeur hands. Make the hands another color to stand out from the dial and I would probably pay a few hundred for a used one. | |

Maybe they will add some different hand types, or colors in the future Mark ! Might have to wait a while for that price though sir ! ____________________________________

| Hmmm...sounds like the Zixen biz model to me. Retro look w/new tech. The first one reminds me of the Zixen Vintage Diver DSR-500M. Their site and pricing reminds me of Zixen as well. | |

| In fairness I should add there are NOT AT ALL identical. Just look similar straight on. Pricing however, is another story.

I agree with you ! ..They are similar, but not exactly the same ! ..The bezel is one part on the Crepas which changes things up a little imho. ____________________________________

| This is Pablo, the person behind Crepas, the new diver watch brand with name that sounds to French dessert Crepas has a meaning Compañía Relojera Especializada Para Actividades Subacuáticas something similar to Specialised Watch Company for Underwater Activities. Anyway a nice name does not do excellent products. Le Grand name comes from when 35 years ago the SM1000m was called, the Grand, because this watch was the biggest and strong of your time. Nevertheless the whole world knows that the SM600m is called Ploprof. About the Le Grand and the original SM1000 there are a lot differences. Different design and material of the bezel insert (we use sapphire) Different crown and crownguard design. Different case construction, we do not use a monocoque case, we use a case with case back cover. We have added an automatic helium escape valve. All of friends of mine love the plongeur hands, so... I have had to use this kind of hands but... with highly polished silver facets (same effect than vintage SM300 over the mate black dial) Antimagnetic. The finished combines the brushed with the polished. Everything is brushed except the relief parts that are polished: the teeth of the crown and of the side bezel, the tops of the crownguard and the logo in the back cover. Only 99 watches in black finished, perhaps 99 more in blue finished, but never more than 198 watches. We have so redesign to launch... About October we will receive the prototype and we will be proud to up the pics here. We will be here to answer you any question you have and if you wish you can visit us at www.crepaswatches.comP.S. We have the web ready also in Spanish from yesterday. Pablo |

| Pablo,
Will you have the Blue dial version for viewing and will it be included in the promotional price? Also, will you have color variants(i.e. red, orange, blue, etc) in the hour/minute/second hands? Black dial with blue minute hand, gray hour hand, and red tip second hand would be nice:)
Thanks,
Gerald |

| Hope to see some actual shots of this soon, looks promising.
BTW - went to Andalucia a few years ago and flew into Malaga, close to where you are located. Beautiful part of the world.
And thanks for putting up the English version of the site. |

| Hello for alls!!
The Le Grand will have only a black dial. We have not in mind color variants in dial. The Le Grand comes with a silver facets hands, but all customers will receive a second kit of hands with the classic color: white second and hour hands and orange minute hands.
We thought to do 100 Le Grand more with dark blue dial and bezel... but now we are working in our second project.
We would like to say the Le Grand is supplied with a mesh bracelet, with an Italian rubber strap and with a black NATO... and there will be more surprises. |

| We want our project well done. In order we give the best service to our clients we are always be online, regarding the ideas and suggestions of our customers. We would like to thank all the questions and opinnions because we used it to improve our product. It is very important for us to hear the comments of our customers. Since we up the pics of the Le Grand 's prototype we realice of somethings very important to our customers. We have introduced some modifications over the prototype. 1º All the mass production will be with the color hands instead the silver hands. Silver hands will be given free of charge as second kit. If some customer wish to order the watch with the silver hands, he will receive it with silver finished. 2º The "SWISS MOVE'T" will be erased of the dial. 3º The text "1200m / 4000ft" and "PROFESSIONAL" will be increased in size. 4º We want more Superluminova in bezel, dial and hands. Maximun as possible. 5º We have asked to our manufacturer the maximun care about window date. 6º Crepas´ logo in the buckle . Please, if you have any other doubt, contact us here or by info@crepaswatches.com. |
