Zodiac ZMX-03 Finally - Pics Updated

Hey there,

I'm certain many of you have seen this before but I've been searching for this watch since Ron (barnbuilder) posted his on WG oh...I dunno...maybe over a year ago. But it was always $650-750. Searched so long the watch faded from my short list for other conquests until a few days ago a post on WL reminded me to give it another shot. Sure enough a liquidator on eBay was unloading them for $299 and I jumped. It arrived today. More of my own pics when I get a chance.

Super Cool Watch - Especially love the silver on silver effect of hands, etched silver dial, logo, and markers. Tough to tell in his photos but the hour marker blocks just inside the chapter ring reflect in the dial to appear double in thickness with a floating effect. The chapter ring is also slightly raised off the dial to add more depth and facilitate the LED lights, which slowly fade out shortly after 9 pusher is released - really nice touch.

This is not your typical Zodiac. A marked departure from their typical designs.

My only Con so far is no full time second hand

Jaw CONGRATULATIONS on finally getting this ZMX-03 sir !!!!
Have been liking these since they first came out as well, but still
haven't gotten around to getting one either. This is SOME KIND
of watch if you ask me, and so was that price there. Plus was
thinking how this watch doesn't really look like other watches out
there. I mean alot of times watches kind of have the same, or at
least similar styled cases, dials, and looks. However, these particular
ZMX models honestly seem to have a look all their own. That's just
exceptional I think ! ..This version here with the silver on silver has
it all Jaw ! The other versions are great too, but this one does
everything well. On the one hand it's BIG, and EXTREMELY bold.
On the other hand, because of the TERRIFIC silver with silver, there
is a stunning coolness about the watch that draws you in. I think
much of it has to do with the effects you spoke about with the dial.
Many of the other versions have the same features, and ARE nice
too, but there is just something about how things seem to jump
off the dial with this one. While at the same time looking almost
like a deep pool of liquid metal or something. Zodiac really did an
excellent job at every turn here. The large block markers are very
unique, as are those TREMENDOUS hands ! Woohoo !!! ..I like
the little lines going around and around on the dial also. They kind
of remind you of a whirlpool, or tornado maybe. Also have to say
the big 3 and 9 are EXTRA COOL, as are the square over hangs at
the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. Even the way the markings on
the chapter ring and how they draw your eyes to the fantastic bezel
is OUTSTANDING ! ..Hey, and can't forget the big aggressive crown
and pushers !!! Those give the watch ALOT of it's personality as
well imho. As do the lugs, and even that super sporty strap, that
just happens to have one very NICE Zodiac emblem on it ! ..The
only thing left to do is enjoy the glow of that out of this world
LED illumination !!! AWESOME ! ..I hope you ENJOY this
one for years to come Jaw. Thanks for all of the specifications
you listed too by the way, as well as all of the GREAT detail you
gave about the watch. Going to have to get one of these some
day. ..Congratulations once again !!!

That's a PERFECT description of what it looks like.
As well as your other astute observations.
You always manage to embellish with the very features I notice - but don't always mention.
It's really uncanny - like you're in my head - Makes me wonder what you do for a living.

Ron: Do you happen to recall when you purchased this watch?

Lastly I haven't quite captured the light but it has more of an Iron Man chest glow in person

of the different details about them. It's also GREAT letting everyone know that the
watch they just got is AWESOME ! ..Speaking of awesome, I think these new pictures
capture the ZMX-03 EXTREMELY well imho. From the scope and size of the watch, to
that unique dial. Also getting a great feel for the look ,and detail of the crown along
with pushers. Not to mention the thickness of the case, brushing on the lugs, and
just overall quality of this Zodiac ! ..Wow !!! ..Super watch, AND pictures Jaw !

Jaw, I got it late Winter early Spring 2009..the best that I can remember. sold it to a guy from Singapore

Congrats Jeff, that is a great watch. I kept wanting one but back when they came out I was still spending money on the next new " I " brand model. Thankfully as my watch boxes filled, my taste in watches has changed.

Might have to start looking for one of those again. I have gifted most of my other Zodiacs to watch friends.
