Got all the parts together Monday and finished it last night. The dial is white porcelain from a Hamilton pocket watch, I had to resize it 6mm to fit the case. German made case with sapphire, AR coating, 42mm. German made buffalo strap and pre-V buckle. To keep a classic look, I chose these gloss black leaf hands.
this was a fun build and a great look.

Great looking watch Ron. All of the components work very well together. Those vintage Hamilton movements are awesome. You have a real talent for putting it all together, and the one you sold Chris is equally beautiful.

Dude you are freakin' AMAZING!

I'm seeing something BIG in your future!

You are a MAN'S MAN and the support you would garner for YOUR watches would be off the chart!

Ron, you really ARE reaching new levels here ! finished this last night 812159
I think EVERYONE genuinely is in awe of what you have been able
to do here, and on your other projects. Can't even comprehend
of what it must be like to think these things out, and then be able
to actually make it come true like this. Add to that, the way in
which they come out SO professionally in every respect, and it's
pretty stunning !!! ..You have shown us what it is to see the various
aspects of this hobby, and how many layers there actually are to
enjoy ! Very Happy Thank YOU for letting us see your creations ! ..Also just
want to say that the idea Alan had about you having support for
your watches, or having your own watch company is a TREMENDOUS
idea sir !!! ..Can't say enough how COOL this and these watches
genuinely are ! finished this last night 803574 ..Now with the watch..that porcelain dial is
something that I really have say is out of this world. You don't
see them everyday, and it just brings you back to a time when
watches had a ton of personality, along with care put into them.
It also brings some history along with the whole Hamilton theme.
Which is really nice because it allows an older watch to exist in
a new way. Which is VERY cool, and VERY nice !!! By the way,
it must have been pretty hard to cut the dial like that. On the
one hand you had to be careful, and on the other you had to
make sure it looked good. AMAZING stuff ! ..It is also something
how you use all of these quality parts, and materials like this.
From the impressive German watch cases, to the quality sapphire
crystals, and buffalo straps. You really make sure that your
creations hit on all cylinders. It's just THE BEST to see, and hear
about if you ask me. You even have AR coating, and some of THE
coolest HANDS and numbers on any watch. Honestly is ALL very
inspiring to ENJOY this hobby even more imho. Smile ..Speaking of
enjoying ! ..That movement is the hidden gem of this watch of
yours Ron. Again it brings you back to the vintage movements,
and pocket watches of years ago. The mechanism, and that
FANTASTIC detailed decoration which literally looks like fire or
lightning on metal, is REALLY UNBELIEVABLE to see, and of course
fun to see as well ! ..That is probably the most important part that
you talked about ! Having FUN building it ! ..Plus I think it has to be
fun to wear also. cheers ..Really is a GREAT look Ron ! ..You should be
extremely proud of yourself with all of this. Congrats, and keep
enjoying !

Great job, pictures, AND watch !!!!

thanks guys!

like I said before, this was really enjoyable to build.
The porcelain dial is cool to work with also very brittle and will crack when bent, but is also very durable and scratch resistant.

Amazing as always! What movement did you use; I thought old Hammy pocket watch movements had the crown at 12:00?

thanks Chris!

I have not been able to find anything on this movement, has to be 70's or 80's after Hamilton went to the Swiss. Basically it's a 6498, it has a 302 number under the balance wheel, the small circle next to the winding gear says swiss unadjusted. I've seen 4 of these on ebay in the past 6 months, one had the sub-second at 9.

Must be a limited edition remake.
