| I was visiting my watchmaker yesterday and noticed the store was clearancing a bunch of Longines. Seems they are discontinuing the brand at their store. I've been drooling over the "Spirit" automatic chronograph for a couple years now. Unfortunately the list is $1,800.00. Since they're dumping the line, I told a clerk I could go as high as $750 (58% off). She had to check with the owner. Any Longines watches left unsold will be bought by a closeout guy at some bargain price. I'm betting his price is lower than mine. This particular watch has been sitting in the display case for at least three years. WILL THEY: Accept [ ] or Decline [ ] ?    | |

| BTW, it's equipped with this 37-jewel Longines L651 auto/chrono movement, but not behind a display back (not vintage enough!).  | |

| The co-owner/accountant came back with a price of $1,000.00. Yeah, right!  I heard that second-hand through my watchmaker, not the sales clerk. I think I need to 'splain the economics to them.  | |
