Dear Watch Snob,

First off, I just wanted to say that I find your columns very informative. Keep up the good work. I just have a simple question: How do you feel about diamonds on a man's watch? I can barely think of one occasion when I would wear a watch with diamonds, but I still find myself occasionally looking at them. What is your opinion, and if you were to ever buy a watch in this category what would you consider choosing?

You may actually be the biggest knob to have ever written in to me. My opinion on diamond encrusted watches for men is that they should be dismembered immediately and any man who is caught admiring them should lose an eye by way of spoon. There is nothing more disgusting than taking a fine watch, a work of micro-engineering and art, and covering it with jewels. I won’t even give you something to consider because there is nothing worth buying at all.

That really IS funny ! Luckily I don't care for diamonds on watches.

Consider the Movado Museum with a single diamond at the twelve..........classic styling and not at all gaudy.
