A couple vintage Seikos....

First off, I bought Noah's Bellmatic for $95. Under a $100 for a running and serviced Bell is a fantastic deal, I already have two others but could not resist this one for the price. Bell-Matics are automatics with a mechanical alarm feature, this one is in awesome condition. From 1970.....









Next one is this 6139-6005, single register automatic Chronograph, beleive it or not I found this in a pawn shop for under $100 as well, all features work, also in awesome condition....made about 1977 from the serial number.....I don't know much about these but the deal seemed to good to pass by. Bracelet is very small on me though, anybody got some original links around?

Gary, i dig them both but the 6139 is so cool reminds me off my 6309 UFO but with much better color! You are the man when it comes to finding some sweet pieces!

Not only are they two SUPER Seikos, but you evidently
got them both for a an unbelievable price !..Thanks for
giving the extra history on the Bell-Matic by the way.
That one is just exceptional I think. It's really elegant
with those neat markers, and hands. Let's not forget
about that gold-tone ! It's very easy on the eyes imho,
and the dial seems to be a little bit lighter, almost like
a champagne. I like that area just above the chapter
ring by the way, with those cool looking lines also !
Excellent case shapes on these as well Gary !!! Have
to say the strap works amazingly well with this Bell-
Matic too ! Woohoo !..Moving to the 6139-6005 single
register automatic chronograph..this one is a REAL
STUNNER ! The combination of that pepsi-type
bezel, together with yellow dial honestly couldn't be
better. What's even more intriguing is how the chapter
ring seems to be yellow, while the dial is more of an
amber I guess. Pretty TERRIFIC !!!..That single register
sub-dial is perfect because it doesn't take away from
that dial at all, and the red hands are another nice
touch by Seiko as well !..Some unique looking markers
on this watch too, and what a case shape. You can
really see, along with appreciate the shape from that
side view there. Also want to say the bracelet looks
VERY comfortable, as well as GREAT looking. REALLY
COOL photos of the case-back, AND of BOTH watches !!!

Good stuff!!! The Bellmatic series is pretty cool with that mechanical cricket alarm and the 6139 has alot of great variations (the yellow is one of my favs!) Old Seikos are addicting...gonna have to look for a few more for myself now!

Very nice finds. The chrono appears to be in terrific condition. Very nice watches, too bad Seiko does not make a more economical chrono any longer.....

Thanks for the comments....I have not even cleaned the outside two of these yet so they are in great condition. I can't wait to show you some of the other stuff I found on my trip out west. Still getting things back to normal so it may be a while.
