It's a 6309-7040...not expensive, but cool IMO.

These mod guys have inspired me to try a mod. I have ordered a few parts already and want to make my own badass diver, like Noah's Tsunami!! I am still on the fence on changing it to a 7548 quartz conversion...we'll see! If I do the conversion, I'll put a see-through caseback for laughs!

At first I was going to throw in a 6105 dial, but I already have too many black dial divers...leaning towards yellow or blue XW dials or even one of Noah's UTC Sub dials.

Cool!!! Lots of options out there Soxa-style, Omega-ish dials. Noah's site is the best for selection. RIP Noah! I'd keep the auto movement; something about the fact that it is still kicking after 30-40 years is a testament to the workhorse nature of the movement. I like the exibition back idea too! Lots of help here too if you hit a snag!

Oh very very nice Mark ! You really surprised me with this one. Sounds like you already
have some excellent ideas about what you want to do. Guess it all depends on if you
want the watch to be more classic, or very different looking. I know there are a ton of
options for you. Basically would just say to take your time I guess, and then combine
some of your favorite color combos with it. In any case, it sounds like a fantastic idea !
