| I'm on my annual pilgrimage to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this weekend. I leave Wednesday afternoon. any of you guys going to be another of the 150,000 people there?
I plan to do considerable watch browsing while I'm there. I'm planning 2 hours for the Tourneau store in Caesars Palace Mall seeing their huge selection. I'm not likely to buy anything there unless it is in their huge discount section (most at about 50% off). The shop just across and 3-4 stores down from Tourneau is another shop that has a very unique selection. Then there are about a dozen other places to check out but most of them showing items also in Tourneau. One cool store in the Pallazio with about 6 very high end brands in almost separate little sub-stores.
The Fossil Outlet in the mall south of the strip used to be one of my main Las Vegas attractions. I think I've bought about 8 watches there over the years, mostly Zodiac and a few Armani. But I'm guessing they have cleared out most Zodiac like the other locations. I'm going to call ahead and if no Zodiac they will be off my list.

| Please no 3000 word essays. Please.
However 30-40 pics would be nice. Hurry now. Scurry away and get this done.

LAS VEGAS REPORT
Came home from Las Vegas with a bunch of pictures but no new watch. All the things I wanted were out of my price range. ;-) OUTLET STORES:Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the stores in the outlet malls. At the south outlet I only went to the Fossil store. They had about a dozen mens Zodiacs - none that interested me other than models I already bought. At the north outlet mall the Fossil store had about 40 Zodiacs, but still nothing to get my money. I also visited the Movado Store and Seiko store there. Today I went to the best browsing stores that I know of. Most stores don't allow pictures. But I tried to get some anyway. I'll put them in several posts to help organize.

| Great pics Mike thanks for sharing. From the looks of the stores I know I would have come home empty handed as well. Was there really any traffic in any of the stores you took pics of? |

| Thanks! Great tour. Brings back fun memories. However, I am disappointed you did not show wrist shots of your Rolex in your room at Belaggio, a Rolex on your dinner plate next to your steak, your golden retriever eating a meal and your BMW limo. I always look forward to those things in travel reports by JBHII - and I miss them here. Oh well. I suppose I'll get over it. You have my sincere thanks, though! Well done. |

Boscoe, don't forget all of the "I also saw behind the scenes where the commoners (you) will never get to see" stories; as well as the words "comped" or "free" preceeding everything listed above. |

| O yeh, the staff of Tourneau were impressed with my horoligical knowledge so they took me into the safe to see some of the watches that the unwashed masses don't see, including some rare prototypes like the new SAN VI LUPAH - a combination never accomplished before now - in all of its 61mm "Flame Fusion mkII"(tm) glory. the double axis Toubilliion is incredible but I don't know why the diamond weight comes in at just under 1 carat intead of just over, though - I'd like to buy one if the diamonds were a bit bigger.
They said they couldn't give me an outright gift (tax man watching for money laundering in vegas, etc.) but they gave me a lightly used Vacheron Constantin at their trade in cost of $650. They asked me to come back next month to help with their staff training session.

| Thanks for the pictures. How did you get allowed into the mall when it was closed? Those stores look like ghost towns! Wow.
I particularly liked the Mont Blanc stores setup for inspecting the dials of the watches. |

| ....and a good time was had by all......Thanks for the photo's. I haven't been to LV for quite a few years and I wasn't into watches back then. I know if I ever get back there I'll be reserving a lot of time to visit these shops. I can't afford to buy any of them but, it would sure be fun to look. Thanks for posting all those pics for us!!!!
YOU THE MAN!!!! |

| The stores were all pretty sparsely populated.
So many brands it is overwhelming. Stores don't allow pics so I pretended to be texting much of the time (notice many are vertical pics) or just snapped quickly when nobody was looking. So many more brands than are shown here, especially high end stuff you don't often see elsewhere.
The Invicta showcases in Tourneau had only the large models. I don't think they had a mens Invicta that would be under about 48mm.
I spent many hours over several days looking at the same stores in November. So this time I saw the things that I wanted to see and browsed everything in about 3 hours.

| I have never encountered someone wearing a 45+mm watch in the real world. Even in Vegas where anything goes |
