. . . So. I rarely wear a watch on the weekends. I've said as much before. BUT, today I had some errands to run and needed to meet up with Wifey. I grabs an Invicta PD to wear to Home Depot.

OK. Run errands, get Wifey handled and head for the house. Walk in, put my keys on the counter . . . . and the Invicta just falls off my wrist! Plop. Drops onto the counter. Spring bar at the clasp disintegrated. Pieces, a barrel . . . two ends . . . and a spring.

I had to laugh. I MAY have worn the watch 4 times! MAY have . . . .

Quality item I tell ya. Absolutely the finest components available.

Anyways . . . . I finished installing Wifey's new stove. AND tommorrow I have yard work. I think I may pull a Yamahaki . . . . with a twist . . . . I'll give Eyal's baby a trim, with my Bolens mower!!!!! Toss 'er out there ahead of the mower and DO NOT SLOW DOWN . . . . .

Any mechanical device, no matter how incredibly well made in the highest quality factory with the best trained technicians, can fail. Nothing in our world is perfect and we have to live in this world. It was, after all, only a small part. If you need extra springbars you can either call Rebecca or I'll be happy to send you a couple FOC.

But on to more important issues, I hope that the watch was not damaged in the fall? THAT would be a tragedy.

Not that I don't want to see that done Randy but you'll just be making more work for yourself when you now have to pull the mower blade(s) and resharpen them from chopping up all of that high grade stainless steel!

. . . Doc, I agree with the "Perfect World" thinking . . . . BUT, I have had two watches drop from spring bar FUBAR . . . . this Invicta, and the Croton Pineapple re-issue. Cheap builds are cheap builds, period IMHO.

As for the Invicta, it was spared the wrath of the mower . . . only because our resident philanthropist Trevor sent me a handful of bitchin' straps . . . . and among them is a very nice MaraTech that will fit quite nicely, look great . . . . and I'll go buy my own spring bars from the watchmaker I visit.

. . . Now, as long as the Frame Frusion doesn't fall off of it, it should do as a beater.

Agreed about the blades... I say the 12 gauge test.
