| Irreantum was founded in 2009. Their first model is the Magellan diver. The case, in stainless steel, measures 45mm x 14mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 500 meters. Movement is the Swiss automatic ETA caliber 2824-2 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. Dials are available in blue, black, orange and carbon fiber black. MSRP is $545. ____________________________________ | |

| What does the name mean, 'in-rectum' is that how it's pronounced? Edit: Found this...English Book of Mormon, the received text, contains both the transliteration, Irreantum, and its translation, "many waters", so it means 'many waters' not 'up-yours' as I initially thought. ____________________________________ Later, GaryRemember we are the caretakers of mechanical art..... | Just another clone that people will buy instead of the real Doxa.Thats how things are going these days.Nobody wants to spend the money for a quality name brand and instead buy these crap watches soley on price, nothing more. Then after these arrive, a mass sell off occurs. Then members from that forum go on a massive posting campaign on all of the various forums so they sell these. Then later, owners will say how great they are and wonder why others pay so much for insert brand here because this watch is so much better.Thats called the validation phase of owning these. Then when they start breaking, nothing but silence.I fart in their general direction. |

| Not liking this one. The #s on the Bezel look irregularly etched, engraved, whatever to me in the photos. The 2824-2 BTW is the lowest quality model often referred to, derisively, as the Chinese Gold Model (no offense Ron, but that's how its been referred to for several years). |

| I remember these ! Definitely alot of Doxa in these watches, especially with the case, and bracelet style. The dial looks like a combination of different brands. The hands look nice and traditional, while the markers are pretty aggressive looking. I like how they used a few different shapes with the markers, it's something different added to a familiar look. Seems like an option for people to think about, who might like the Doxa look, like Sean had said !..Thx !!! ____________________________________ | |

| Not a fan...too much like the Doxa. I mean if you are gonna copy something, at least make it with a good looking dial! IMO, not that attractive! But I am just a fool with a keyboard! ____________________________________ M A R K

| I was never really a Doxa fan, so this watch is not for me. But I am sure some people who love the Doxa look will be happy with the price point of this one.
PS - great to see the quick reply box back. Thank you!

I was not talking about the rolex owner. that person will always get the original thing. I was talking about the person who can not afford a rolex or in this case a Doxa. I understand the issue here with getting a "homage" watch that is similar to another existing watch. This is pretty common at this point so it is not surprising that someone put out a similar watch to the Doxa look and at a lower, more affordable (to some) price point. I don't have to like it, but I understand it.

| It does offer affordability to purchase a similar watch. It seems to be happening all of the time with Doxa, Omega, Oris, Rolex...you name it. ____________________________________ M A R K

On this style case i think the oris bracelet that taper just enough looks so much better than the straight link invicta bracelet! but the original scooby is one of invicta's better watches, swiss movement cased in china and no bullshit! tell it like it is and people respect it. they have changed they're marketing so much since that watch was made and retired!! |

Is this True? ALL gold 2824s are Chinese. I have an identical gold 2824 in my Marine Diver. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if this is a fact. FWIW it is stamped Swiss Made.
