Advice to narrow down my next watch choice - Help!

Hi guys!

I hope to purchase my 1st good watch pretty soon and am sort of overwhelmed with all of the brands that are available. I thought that I would ask the pros for some advice to help me narrow down my choices.

I tend to like dive style watches. I measured my wrist and it is about 7 1/2 inches around, so I figure that I will probably go for something in the 43mm to 45mm range, but not overly thick. I want to get a nice watch, so I have set my budget between $500 and $700 to give myself a good amount of money to get a good quality watch.

My wish list for the watch are:

- Automatic Movement
- Stainless Steel case and bracelet
- Brushed finish
- Dial color is open, but not too crazy (like pink or purple)
- Exhibition back
- Can be preowned, if good condition.

Hopefully that is enough to start. Please let me know if I misse anything.

You need my Accutron VX200.

The Accutron is a very nice watch for the money. I owned the chrono version and wish I had it back in my collection. I would also suggest Steinhart and Christopher Ward as well. They have many nice looking divers well within your price range.

Have you considered getting a Seiko Sumo SBDC001/3/5? I had a blue (3) and it was a fantastic watch for the price!

Jake, have always heard great things about Hamilton, and Oris. They could also maybe
fit the bill for a first good watch for you.
